Jefferson Regional Medical Center Selects Cerner Revenue Cycle Management Services
Jefferson Regional Medical Center (JRMC) has selected Cerner to help manage revenue cycle performance across its 333-bed hospital and physician network.
Cerner Soarian Financials® will replace the former revenue cycle management solution and integrate with the existing electronic health record. JRMC will also receive support in its billing and collections processes through Cerner RevWorksSM, the revenue cycle management services organization that helps clients manage the billing cycle. This includes targeted projects, transition services, business office management, as well as outsourcing services managed from Cerner’s central business office.
“Through our search for revenue cycle management solutions and services, we realized that no other solution compared to Cerner’s for integration and efficiency,” said Bryan Jackson, vice president and chief financial officer of JRMC. “We’re confident Cerner’s technology and billing experts will support our goals to increase efficiencies and improve billing processes. We look forward to working with Cerner now and in the future.”
Using RevWorks, Cerner’s revenue cycle management teams will also support JRMC as it works to advance efficiency and performance while helping to control cost to collect. Business office management through RevWorks provides back-office billing services to manage accounts receivable, including denial management and prevention.
“Jefferson Regional Medical Center will leverage Cerner revenue cycle across its acute and ambulatory facilities, and together we will establish a recommended practice implementation model for other similar health systems in the future,” said Jeff Hurst, senior vice president of Cerner Revenue Cycle Management and president of Cerner RevWorks. “This is an extension of Cerner’s dedication to deliver comprehensive and sophisticated revenue cycle management solutions to support the industry as a whole.”
